MEET SARA FOSHÉE

About Me

San Antonio, Texas native soprano Sara Foshée is a Graduate Artist Certificate student in voice at the University of North Texas under the tutelage of Professor Mary Mills.

As an avid risk taker, Ms. Foshée is never one to shy away from trying new things or going to new places. Just this past summer she was in Lucca, Italy performing the roles of Dorabella (Così fan tutte) and Sifare (Mitridate, re di Ponto) with the summer program Accademia Vocale Lorenzo Malfatti in their opera scenes program.

Ms. Foshée was a first-prize winner at both Texoma NATS and NATS-DFW competitions. She is the recipient of the Competitive Undergraduate Voice Scholarship and the Walter and Anna Scott Music Scholarship. In performance with the UNT University Singers, Ms. Foshee has premiered and recorded the album for Shara Nova’s Infinite Movement (2021) and was the Mezzo-Soprano soloist cover for John Corigliano’s Fern Hill (2023). Sara also holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of North Texas.

In performance this season with UNT Opera, she will perform the roles of Dorabella (Così fan tutte) and Sabine (Die Fledermaus). Additional opera credits include Suzy and Lolette (La rondine), Lillian (That Hell-Bound Train), and First Lady (Die Zauberflöte) in the UNT opera scenes program (2023).

While continuing to refine her skills, Ms. Foshée’s innate ability to connect deeply with listeners coupled with her dynamic stage presence leaves an indelible mark on every performance.
